Synergy of wellness4/18/2024 Also, I’m the PTA president for our elementary school. I have two very active children that are both competitive swimmers, I help out with our local chamber and serve on different committees and boards in town. As a mother of two, the last thing I wanted to do was create debt for our family or take anything from our family budget.īalance is my biggest struggle because I love to be involved in everything. My husband and I opened this location from what we had in the bank We opened the doors with about $60 in our business account, which means no working capital. We were named Best Wellness Studio in 2017 by the Best of Denton County voters and won that same award in 2018 along with being named Best Sports Massage. We have close to 900 clients and 121 active members. our services include private training, Swedish and deep-tissue massage, sports therapy, Thai bodywork, cupping, spa treatments, and energy healing. All our classes are alignment based and small, but the defining piece is they are unscripted and routinely molded to fit each client’s needs. We offer 26 classes that run seven days a week, including yoga, mat Pilates, cardio and strength classes. The facility is in the heart of Oakmont and is a stone’s throw from the rest of the Lake Cities, Highland Village, and Flower Mound. We opened our new Pure Synergy location on February 13, 2017, and have since grown into a one-stop wellness and movement center with 12 instructors, five massage therapists, a wellness professional, and an acupuncturist. I was able to build that business within six months and while I loved the work, I missed sharing a space with like-minded people and managing a business. When we moved back to my home state from Chicago, I knew I didn’t want to work for anyone so I started back to my roots, just doing massage in a one-room office with a landscaping company across the hall and a roofer next door. In the last 19 years, I have managed businesses from salons and spa to fitness facilities. This need for more has to lead me on a journey that has included certifications in personal training, group fitness, holistic health coaching, plant-based nutrition, 200hr yoga certification, and numerous massage and bodyworks certifications. While I love serving my clients in massage, I’ve always tried to be more for them. I became a massage therapist at just 19 years old and have been a massage therapist for 18 years (19 in January).
